Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) constitute a legally binding agreement entered into by and between the customer, vehicle owner, or any authorized representative acting on behalf of the vehicle owner (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Customer”) and Rock Chip On The Spot (hereinafter referred to as the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and govern the provision, performance, authorization, and use of all mobile windshield repair services, inspections, and related activities (collectively, the “Services”). By scheduling an appointment, requesting a quote, authorizing work, signing an invoice, or otherwise permitting the Company to perform any Services, the Customer acknowledges and agrees that they have read, understood, and voluntarily accepted these Terms and agree to be legally bound by all terms, conditions, limitations, and disclaimers set forth herein.

Scope of Services

Rock Chip On The Spot provides mobile automotive glass repair services limited exclusively to the repair and stabilization of minor windshield chips, cracks, stars, bullseyes, and similar impact-related damage. Services are performed using commercially reasonable skill, professional judgment, specialized tools, resins, and procedures commonly accepted within the auto glass repair industry.

The purpose of the Services is to restore structural integrity, reinforce weakened glass, reduce the likelihood of further spreading, and improve overall clarity and visibility where reasonably possible. Repairs are preventative and restorative in nature and are not intended to replace the windshield or return the glass to its original pre-damage condition.

Services are limited to damage deemed repairable by the technician, typically measuring up to approximately ten (10) inches in length, though final eligibility is determined solely at the technician’s discretion based on safety and feasibility. The Company does not provide windshield replacement, removal or installation of glass, recalibration of sensors or driver-assistance systems, or any services outside the limited scope of minor repair.

Nothing in this Agreement shall be interpreted or construed as a guarantee, warranty, or promise that repaired glass will be restored to a factory-new, like-new, or cosmetically perfect condition.

Nature of Windshield Repair and Expected Results

Customer acknowledges and understands that windshield repair is a restorative stabilization process applied to previously damaged laminated safety glass and is not a cosmetic restoration or full replacement. Because the glass has already sustained impact damage, visual blemishes, distortion, faint outlines, pits, or residual markings may remain visible even after a successful repair.

While many repairs significantly improve strength and clarity, cosmetic improvement varies based on numerous conditions beyond the Company’s control, including but not limited to the size, type, depth, age, and location of the damage, as well as contamination, moisture, debris, prior stress, and environmental exposure. Typical cosmetic improvement may range between approximately seventy percent (70%) and ninety-five percent (95%), but results are not guaranteed.

Customer expressly acknowledges that perfect, invisible, or “like-new” cosmetic results are neither promised nor implied and that the primary purpose of repair is structural stabilization and prevention of further spreading rather than complete visual elimination.

Limitation of Liability and Repair Risk Disclosure

The Company performs all Services with reasonable care, professional diligence, and industry-standard techniques. However, Customer understands that automotive glass that has sustained prior damage may contain hidden fractures, internal stress lines, or weaknesses that are not detectable before or during service.

Because the repair process may involve pressure, resin injection, curing, or localized temperature changes, there exists an inherent and unavoidable risk that existing damage may extend, spread, or worsen during or after the repair process. Such occurrences, while uncommon, may result from factors outside the Company’s control, including but not limited to the original impact severity, pre-existing defects, internal glass stress, vehicle frame flex, vibration during normal driving, temperature fluctuations, or environmental conditions.

Accordingly, Customer agrees that Rock Chip On The Spot shall not be liable for any extension of cracks, additional spreading, breakage during or after repair, failure of glass, need for replacement, loss of vehicle use, delays, inconvenience, or any incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages of any kind. Under no circumstances shall the Company’s total liability exceed the amount paid by Customer for the specific repair service performed.

Chemical Treatment Disclosure

Customer acknowledges that certain aftermarket products or treatments applied to the windshield may interfere with proper resin bonding and reduce repair effectiveness. These include, but are not limited to, rain-repellent agents, waxes, sealants, ceramic coatings, polishes, silicone-based products, or hydrophobic treatments.

Customer agrees to disclose any such treatments prior to service. The Company shall not be responsible or liable for repair failure, reduced performance, or shortened durability resulting from the presence of such products, whether disclosed or undisclosed.

Lifetime Warranty

The Company offers a limited Lifetime Warranty solely on the specific area originally repaired.

Coverage

If the exact repaired chip or crack spreads under normal driving conditions after service, the Company will reattempt the repair at no additional charge.

Limitations

This warranty applies only to the original repair site and does not cover new or unrelated damage, additional impacts, or replacement glass. Cosmetic appearance is not guaranteed.

Exclusions

This warranty does not apply to damage caused by accidents, collisions, vandalism, road debris, weather events, temperature extremes, structural stress, chemical treatments, misuse, neglect, or any external forces beyond the Company’s control.

Warranty remedies are limited strictly to re-repair of the original area and do not include refunds or replacement costs.

Customer Responsibilities

Customer agrees to provide accurate and truthful information regarding the condition of the windshield, disclose prior repairs or treatments, provide safe and unobstructed access to the vehicle, and ensure that the vehicle is stationary and accessible at the time of service. Customer understands that certain damage may exceed safe repair limits and may require full replacement, which the Company does not provide.

The Company reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service where conditions are unsafe, unlawful, or unsuitable.

. Payment Terms

Payment is due immediately upon completion of Services. Accepted methods include cash, major credit or debit cards, and approved electronic payment platforms. Failure to remit payment may result in lawful collection actions or fees as permitted by law.

No Additional Warranties

Except as expressly provided in this Agreement, the Company makes no additional warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. All Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Modifications to Terms

The Company reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Changes become effective upon posting or publication. Continued use of Services constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.

Governing Law and Venue

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located within Texas, and Customer consents to such jurisdiction and venue.

Entire Agreement

This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior communications, representations, or understandings, whether oral or written. If any provision is determined unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
